The life cycle of the tree plays a major role in fighting against climate change and the safeguarding of our planet, and 9 trees is the number required to balance the average UK citizen’s yearly carbon consumption. The world is getting warmer, and the slowing of global warming is crucial to the survival of our ecosystems. Planting trees and creating more woodlands needs to start now, to help tackle the climate crisis and to maintain local biodiversity that makes up our fragile natural world.

Exploring the versatility of film with 9 multiple exposures, the surrounding landscape fades into the background with each exposure, resulting in an impressionistic form of the tree.
